Tangent Group International Becomes First Private Security Firm to Accept Crypto As Payment
Another step toward legitimizing cryptocurrencies has been made. Private security firm Tangent Group International has announced that the company will now accept cryptocurrencies as a form of payment, making the company the first in the entire nation to allow crypto as a form of payment.
The company recently moved its headquarters to Miami, FL, which was recently declared “the cryptocurrency capital of the world” by the city’s Mayor, Francis Suarez. Though this news is a significant step for crypto in the private security market, it provides further support that Miami’s unofficial title as the lead crypto city may actually be true. In fact, the city recently became the first to sign a deal with local sports stadiums to offer crypto exchange platforms, and city officials are proposing paying city employees with cryptocurrencies.
Tangent Group has experienced major growth over the last few years, and it’s support of crypto demonstrates that the company is fully aware of the growing demand for acceptance among consumers. As the technology continues to rise in popularity, it is likely that other businesses across the country will flock to cities like Miami to provide customers with crypto support that they demand.
