VeChain SaaS Solutions Support Chinese Emissions Reduction Efforts

September 01, 2021

Enterprise-grade blockchain solutions developer VeChain has announced a line of new SaaS products that could help China reduce carbon emissions at a faster pace.

The world is currently facing an existential crisis due to the staggering amount of carbon emissions being injected into the atmosphere, with many business leaders making it a priority to find greener solutions for business processes. China, one of the biggest forces in the global economy, has started an ambitious plan to significantly cut back on mass pollution, hoping to reach net-zero emissions by the year 2060.

The end goal of this initiative is certainly admirable, but will be a tough feat to accomplish without the support of “green” technological resources. To help support the global trend toward cleaner practices, VChain has developed the Digital Carbon Footprint SaaS Service, allowing enterprises to easily manage their carbon footprint data management practices.

Using VChain’s blockchain-enhanced solutions, executives can securely compile data sources across numerous operational areas to better understand the emission levels of any establishment. With a heightened understanding of operational emissions levels, business leaders can then make more logical choices toward incorporating greener alternatives.

"Blockchain can contribute to greater stakeholder involvement, transparency and engagement and help bring trust and further innovative solutions to the fight against climate change, leading to enhanced climate action." commented Alexandre Gellert Paris, Associate Programme Officer at UNFCCC.

China and other economic leaders across the world still have a great deal of work to do in order to dramatically cut emissions. However, with a better understanding of current outputs, business leaders can ensure pollution is minimized as much as possible.
